As of today, I’m making my merry way home from this fair city to Chicago for the holidays! This is my third time doing so since moving in 2008. I do not doubt that these upcoming days will be busy with merrymaking indeed, so I thought I’d keep things in the holiday spirit by “singing” to you a Christmas carol of London Relocation‘s own, inspired by “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”

Now, I fully understand that the original song represents the days between Christmas and the Epiphany on 6 January, but, for our purposes, it’ll serve more as an expat countdown, from now until Christmas Day.

To review the original verse: “On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a partridge in a pear tree.”

*cough* *hack* Sorry, my cyber-singing voice is a little rusty. Okay, so now for mine *ahem*:

On the first day of Christmas, London gave to me…

PARTRIDGES Kraft Mac-n-Cheese…”

Check out Partridges in either its South Kensington or Chelsea locations for a large variety of coveted American foods with which to stock up your flat!
