Your relocation should be a time of excitement and adventure. An international relocation can be a stressful time. Planning starts some months before you arrive and getting settled as fast as possible after your arrival will help. If you are moving as part of an international relocation jobs package you should ask your employer to use one of the professional relocation agents to source accommodation in the city as part of your relocation package. Not only will it save you time, but it can help to get you in the right neighborhood.

One thing that your relocations agents cannot do is guarantee you a great stay. That’s up to you! Getting out and exploring the city does not always mean that you have to take tours and visit stately homes. Part of the experience of each country is in the cuisine and restaurants. Over the next week we’re going to be exploring some of the top restaurants.

Relocation– Restaurants for Special Occasions

What could be more special than your arrival? If you’re going to splash some cash after your relocation then consider some of London’s traditional establishments.

Gordon Ramsay at Claridges. This is not only one of the top hotels in the city, but arguably one of the top restaurants. If you’re planning a special occasion then you’ll want to book well in advance. With the finest Art Deco décor this is truly one of the most ‘important’ celeb restaurants in London. Renowned for his temper and liberal use of the ‘F-word’ Gordon Ramsey is a Michelin starred chef bringing his brand of haute cuisine and modern British flair into the dining room at Claridges. It’s not cheap, and you may want to dress up to feel part of the occasion.

You don’t have to be intimidated though. The restaurant welcomes children and if you feel like something less formal you can indulge in a light lunch or one of the sumptuous afternoon teas before a visit to one of the local sights.
