When you’re living in London you might want to spend some time exploring your neighborhood before you venture out to the other end of the city. One of the most centrally located residential areas in London is Bayswater. It is slightly more expensive to live here because it is so centrally located, but for this reason alone it makes it a great place to live. You’re close to everything that you need and everything that you want to experience in this fascinating city.

Queensway is the centre of entertainment and fun in Bayswater. Whiteley’s Shopping centre has a cinema as well as some of the best brand name fashion stores and a host of fine restaurants and pubs. The entire area of Queensway is an entertainment zone and the prices of restaurants in the area are slightly less than you’d find in the centre of London. If you’re looking for indoor sports, you can choose from bowling or ice skating at the Queens Ice Rink which is adjacent to the Bayswater Tube Station. The Porchester Centre is just north of Queensway and boasts a public pool that is run by the council and is open every day of the year.

If running is your thing then the joggers track in the Kensington Gardens is a runners and joggers paradise. Set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings, the track winds its way through the gardens right into Hyde Park which is one of the largest city parks in England. There is also stabling for horses and a tennis club for the sports enthusiast. We’re still in your suburb and you’ve barely had to venture more than a few minutes from your London flat!

If you’re prepared to take a five minute walk out of Bayswater then you can find the Portobello Market which is just west of Queensway. Really, you won’t even need directions – just follow the throngs of people headed west and you’ll be in the market in a few minutes. Living in London no matter where you choose to rent is going to be one of the most interesting times of your life. Everything really is within easy reach and all you need to do is step outside your front door and discover it.
